Furniture To Go - FTG
About Furniture To Go
Furniture To Go has something of a great history to it. It was founded by Keith Robinson, Jens Ole Sorensen, and Claus Steen Sorensen. Together they have over 40 years’ experience working with Furnishing Products of the highest quality. They were responsible for introducing the Danish manufacturer Kjellbergs, and more recently Steens Furniture into the UK Market.
FTG was launched in 2013, and is headed by Paul Sheldon, as Director of Sales and Operations. The concept is to supply ready to assemble bedroom and living room furniture into the UK and Ireland markets, with delivery on a next day basis.
We now have 4 partner factories who we work closely with. Our Danish partner was the first one to be introduced, specialising in Pine and MDF products. This was followed by a Polish factory, Meble Wojcik, who are at present the 4th largest manufacturer of cabinet furniture in Poland with over 1.400 employees, and occupying production/warehouse space of 89,000 m2. In 2018 also Tvilum was added to the groupe of partner factories, Tvilum is one of the world's largest manufacturers of flat-packed furniture. It has four factories which produce 8 million items of furniture annually.
The development of the FTG brand has bought us to where we are today, with the introduction of apolstory furniture from Baltic Sofa from Lithuania.
Working closely with our partners nothing has been spared on making commercial products to the highest standards, using quality control from start to finish. It is important that partners are FSC certified, where only the most suitable materials have been sourced from managed forests.
What we offer
Should you want furniture made to your specification, we have several options of supply on our standard collections, which today stands at over 30 different ranges of bedroom, living and dining products. We can supply full loads from factories and next working day pallet or single item deliveries from our warehouse in Portsmouth. Collections are also available from this warehouse by yourself or your nominated carrier.
Most of our collections are in-house designs, and we work with our factories from drawing board to finished product, making sure that only the finest materials are used in construction. This is on-going as shown by the launch of several ranges at most recent Furniture Exhibitions. There is a large group of people behind each design.
Of course, we must keep up with all the latest trends and listen to our customers - our factories also have in house designers. The ideas are put to the technical departments before first samples are made and once selection has been agreed by all then images are produced and productions are made.
There are no short cuts on selection of materials used - only the best will do.
